We are also looking to develop new and innovative accommodation and services and our Director of People and Place will be a key player in realising these ambitions. Leading and inspiring the People and Place Team to deliver creative, contemporary and customer focused services which exemplify the best in housing and support services for older people.

The role will have responsibility for providing comprehensive housing management services to 1,350 tenants. These services include arrears control, welfare benefits advice, voids, lettings and general tenancy management. Developing and providing contemporary and innovative housing support and care services to enable older people to remain independent and well for as long as possible will be another key responsibility. The Director of People and Place will develop and implement community and well-being services as well as partnership initiatives with health and social care partners.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with experience of successfully managing a multi-disciplinary service at a senior level. You will have a proven track record of managing housing and/or support/care services and management of a budget exceeding £3m. The ability to lead and inspire a large, diverse team of staff will be essential as well as an empathy and understanding of the needs and aspirations of older people.
