A New Chapter for Aspen Interim – A Personal Introduction
Hello, I’m Cat Goodwin! I’m thrilled to have joined Aspen People last month to head the Interim Division. Over the last five-plus years I’ve specialised in the contract, temporary, and interim recruitment space, working closely with organisations to deliver flexible, high-impact talent solutions when they need them most. This next step with Aspen is a unique opportunity to build something meaningful within an executive search company that’s already well-respected for our integrity, insight, and impact. I’ve consistently seen the power that the right interim leader can bring during moments of challenge or transformation, and I’m incredibly excited to shape a service around that value here at Aspen.
My vision for Aspen Interim is bold but grounded. I want us to be the first name people think of when they need interim expertise across our six key sectors. That means more than just filling roles, it means becoming a trusted advisor to clients, a champion for candidates, and a connector of opportunities that create lasting, positive change. The market demand is certainly there: organisations are increasingly turning to interim professionals not just as a stopgap, but as a strategic resource. Aspen is perfectly placed to meet that demand with the responsiveness, professionalism, and personal touch that have long been hallmarks of the business. My role is to make sure we harness that reputation and channel it into a clear, targeted interim offer.
In practical terms, one of my first priorities is to raise the profile of Aspen Interim. That includes proactive business development, a renewed focus on social media, and stronger visibility within both candidate and client communities. I’ll be driving forward a plan that balances growth with quality, ensuring that as we take on more roles and reach new clients, we continue to uphold the high standards Aspen is known for. I’m also looking at ways to build out our contractor database and engage with fresh talent, particularly those candidates who are looking for their next challenge in a flexible or fixed-term capacity. My goal is for Aspen to be ready with the right people at the right time.
Behind the scenes I am equally focused on strengthening the internal processes that support our work. Great service starts with great infrastructure, so I’m working to embed the tools, templates, and systems that will allow us to deliver quickly and consistently without compromising on that tailored, personal approach that defines Aspen People. Every brief is different, and I’ve always believed in taking the time to really understand what success looks like for a client, and how a particular candidate will shape and deliver that vision.
What makes this opportunity so exciting is Aspen’s genuine commitment to building Interim as a specialist service in its own right. This isn’t a side project, it’s a core part of our growth strategy and I’m proud to be leading it.
