We are working with East Renfrewshire Council to help in their search for a Data & Business Intelligence Programme Manager, to undertake an initial 2 year fixed term post.

This is an exciting time for the council, they are embarking on the Information as an Asset Strategy and Data operating model and need an experienced programme manager to join their team, to oversee changes to their data management model by bringing together information held on multiple systems within multiple departments. This will increase the effectiveness of this data, improve access and allow them to offer a higher standard of service to the local authority’s clients and customers moving forward.

Working with the Strategic Insight and Communities Senior Manager, overseeing a small interdisciplinary staff team, the successful candidate will lead on development, governance and agile implementation of the Councils “Information as an Asset Strategy”.(IAAA)  They will be responsible for the day to day programme management, delivering quick wins and effective operations of various projects.

They will be responsible for tracing the overall programme and the associated projects to deliver the IAAA strategy, having end to end responsibility for the changes being made.

This is a fantastic opportunity, which will offer a rewarding role, the chance to lead positive change in an organisation and to also receive a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

To be considered you will be a highly successful individual, with proven skills in agile programme and project management. Although a strong understanding of IT systems is preferred, if you have a good understanding of data warehousing and can work with a range of stakeholders, delivering technical information in a succinct manner, this would be an excellent opportunity for you. Experience in a local authority is not essential, instead if you have previous experience of bringing together information systems from multiple departments and can work with a range of people your skills will be of great interest.

Please get in touch with Steven Murray at Aspen People on 0141 212 7555 to discuss this role further and in complete confidence.
