MADE4U is a vibrant community organisation working in the ML2 area of North Lanarkshire, founded through the collective action and community compassion of several local churches in 2006. MADE4U have a key focus on providing activities and spaces which ensure opportunity, reduce isolation and create an environment where connection is central and people are supported to be part of community change. MADE4U’s work keenly focuses on reducing poverty and distress and increasing health and wellbeing as per the charitable aims and objectives. The charity provides support through community development and wellbeing projects such as community cafes, money advice services and befriending calls. They also work to support children through active play, holiday hunger clubs and youth drop-ins as well as employability workshops in the community and local schools.
Central to their work are Five values: Believing in Difference, Acceptance, Refuge, Hope and Love.
Wellbeing: We provide over 18 different activities, including befriending calls, emergency food, Community cafes, men’s group activities, fuel referrals and support and a benefit/money advice service.
Kids: We deliver work including awards, active play, family activities, holiday hunger clubs, Christmas and back-to-school-provision work and aim to support the whole family.
Youth: We operate youth drop-ins, volunteering and employability work, schools’ engagement and wrap-around support for young people and their families.
The role of Fundraising Manager is a key position to the senior management team, enabling the development and implementation of income generation strategies that contribute to the long-term stability of MADE4U. The postholder will contribute to fundraising activity across a range of streams such grants and trusts, individual giving, community fundraising, corporate partnerships, and events. They will be a self-starter with a passion for putting in place essential elements like CRMs, scoping, processing, and developing and implementing a Fundraising Strategy across the organisation.
The right individual will be focused on leading fundraising activity with a background and knowledge of charity fundraising portfolios and use of fundraising databases. The candidate should also have solid experience of working with grants and trusts. They will be able to manage corporate partnerships and have good business judgement. The candidate will have experience of writing contracts, agreements, and complex applications. More broadly, they will be an excellent communicator and understand the broader context of the charity sector.

Package: £37,447 – £42,750. Successful candidate will normally start at lowest band, increasing with progression of role and length of service.
Permanent contract, 21 hours a week.
Hybrid working with some visits to the MADE4U Centre necessary to fulfil the role to its fullest. The location of the postholder is flexible and can include home working. Some evening and weekend work required, to attend fundraising events in the community or to attend meetings.
