Trustees – Full Board

The Mungo Foundation is a provider of social care and support for vulnerable people in Glasgow, West Central Scotland and beyond. Their mission is to improve and enrich the lives of the most vulnerable people in these communities through their charitable work.  At any one time, they run around 40 different types of project, delivering support to over 1,500 individuals, their families and communities.

Taking an exciting new direction, the Mungo Foundation are moving away from the Archdiocese with who they have been associated for over 30 years, to become independent – so this is an unique time to be involved the organisation, with a whole new Board being put into place this year.  Aspen are working with the Mungo Foundation to recruit a full board, this offers a really exciting opportunity for Trustees to join the organisation at a very interesting and momentous time.  

We are looking to speak with potential Board members from a variety of backgrounds, with equality and diversity of thought being absolutely important.   All skill sets and backgrounds will be considered, and we require core skills such as Finance, HR, Marketing and IT as well as other skills. If you have any particular skillset and have operated within Senior Management, we would like to hear from you.

  • Are proven leaders with experience navigating change and transformation
  • Have a strong understanding of governance and compliance structures
  • Can demonstrable passion for and belief in the work that we do
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a proven ability to build and maintain strong and productive relationships
  • Are committed to equality, diversity and inclusivity at all levels

The board is responsible for the strategic direction, accountability of the organisation, as well as risk management, quality and performance monitoring. Trustees are expected to challenge and contribute to the development of the organisation and ensure financial controls and governance systems are robust, transparent and compliant with regulation.
